The Worst Person in the World is a modern dramedy about the quest for love and the search for meaning in contemporary Oslo. Divided into different chapters, the film chronicles four years in the life of Julie (Renate Reinsve), a young woman who navigates the troubled waters of her love life and struggles to find her career path, both of which lead her to take an honest look at herself. The film is the finale of director Joachim Trier’s ‘Oslo Trilogy,’ an homage to the Norwegian capital city and the young people who call it home. One of the most acclaimed films of 2021, The Worst Person in the World premiered at the Cannes Film Festival and later earned Academy Award® nominations for both Best International Feature Film and Best Original Screenplay.
