Parker Huynh-Benningfield 

Parker Huynh-Benningfield is a sophomore at Bates College double majoring in Economics and Rhetoric, Film, and Screen Studies. He hails from Charlotte, NC, and Austin, TX, and is a kicker and punter on the Bates Football team. Huynh-Benningfield works in the Athletic Department as a Marketing & Promotions Assistant. In his free time, he volunteers with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Mid-Maine and An Angel’s Wing. He also runs an online sports marketing and consulting business creating social media graphics and videos for potential collegiate athletes.

Parker is also a filmmaker who has been featured in the Lake Travis Film Festival and Tokyo Lift-Off Film Festival. Growing up, his love for film stems from watching Indiana Jones and A Football Life. His favorite films include The Big Short, The Social Network, and Ted. For the 2024 Bates Film Festival, he contributed to the BFF t-shirt design. After college, Parker hopes to continue playing football and pursue a career in the NFL, film & television, or finance.
