
Alexis González is a sophomore majoring in Rhetoric Film and Screen Studies & Environmental Studies from Hanford, California. On campus, Alexis works as an IT service desk assistant, and as a Residential Life Junior Advisor. She is an active board member of the Raices Unidas affinity group and the Bates Outing Club. Alexis is extremely passionate about the intersection of film and the environment, as well as advocating for Latinx representation in the film industry. This past summer, she conducted research on the effects of climate change on Latinx farmworkers, using both ethnographic and photo voice methods. Following graduation, Alexis wishes to pursue either an environmental or entertainment/film law degree. She is excited to learn what goes on behind the scenes to put together a film festival!
