Mariah Hernandez-Fitch

Mariah Hernandez-Fitch is a storyteller hailing from Dulac, Louisiana. A citizen of the United Houma Nation, she creates films in conversation with public policy, tribal sovereignty, and contemporary Indigenous communities. Upon graduating from Dartmouth College in 2023, Mariah was awarded honors for senior film project, Ekbeh, which showcased at Sundance in January 2024. She is now pursuing an M.A. in American Indian Studies at UCLA.
