KAT VASQUEZ (PRODUCER) is a producer of independent films, television and digital media based in New York City. Her most recent documentary feature BAD AXE (IFC FILMS) won the 2022 Critics Choice Award and was shortlisted for the 95th Academy Awards. She also produced hundreds of videos – from celebrity profiles to branded content and augmented reality experiences – for Yahoo Life and Entertainment. Before moving to New York in 2017 she worked on Emmy-winning television shows (THE ELLEN DEGENERES SHOW, DR. PHIL) and commercials in Los Angeles. A California-born, navy brat with Puerto Rican roots, her passions range from traveling the world to all things food, fashion and pop culture.
