Grant DeWald

Grant DeWald is a senior business consultant within Fidelity Investment’s digital wealth management service where he works in AI product development. He graduated from Bates College in 2018 with a major in Economics and a minor in Rhetoric. Grant competed as a placekicker on the Bates Football team and was a founding member of the Bates Film Festival. After graduating, he joined the Emerging Leader Program at Fidelity, which allowed him to develop his professional career through a multitude of roles. Following completion of the program, Grant served as a scrum master in the Customer Knowledge & Strategic Insights division of Fidelity’s retail brokerage business. The role allowed him to coach, support, and engage with collaborative, interdisciplinary teams focused on developing artificial intelligence marketing capabilities.  It was an engaging work environment similar to the one he first experienced in the formation of the Bates Film Festival. Grant credits the BFF with refining the direction of his early career and fostering a unique set of transferable skills. Most recently, he began an MBA program at Boston College’s Carrol School of Management in January 2022. (Written by Niharika Tuladhar ’22)
