
Ava Elghanayan is a senior from Katonah, NY. She is majoring in Rhetoric, Film, and Screen Studies, minoring in Hispanic Studies, and has a concentration in Theater Arts. Ava is passionate about the arts, social justice, and bringing people together. An avid storyteller, she has published numerous articles for Connect to Northern Westchester Magazine, where she has also worked as an Editorial Assistant and People Manager. At Bates, she has served as a Teaching Assistant for the Rhetoric, Film, and Screen Studies Department, an AESOP orientation leader, a director of student theatre productions, and a member of TakeNote, an all-gender a cappella group. Last semester, Ava completed her Rhetoric, Film, and Screen Studies thesis on the Netflix show Ginny & Georgia. She is excited to provide opportunities for individuals to engage in conversations about the arts.
