Amanda Metzger

Amanda Metzger is a senior History Major and Rhetoric, Film and Screen Studies minor at Bates College. As an undergraduate, she has worked in and participated in theater as a stage manager, and she is passionate about the world of film and screen studies. On campus she has also written for the Bates newspaper and competed for the Equestrian Team. In her spare time she runs an art instagram in which she paints and sells Broadway portraits along with other commissions.  She is currently writing her thesis on the impact of Black Death on Medieval and Early Renaissance English Theater. Amanda particularly enjoys historical documentaries and period dramas, and after graduation, she hopes to combine her love of history and film studies to work on historical dramas and documentary films.  She is looking forward to the film festival and is excited to collaborate with fellow students to put on such a large scale feat.
