Adrian Wong

Adrian Wong is a senior at Bates College majoring in English with a concentration in Philosophy. He is from Hong Kong and grew up with a musical background, playing the cello for 14 years. He wrote his senior thesis on filmic adaptations of Shakespeare, focusing on the scores of movies such as Haider and The Lion King in their musical as well as narrative interpretations of Hamlet. Adrian’s coursework in the English Department fed his interest in film narratives, and his passion for the interplay between film and music drew him to the Bates Film Festival.  Adrian was a member of the Bates Squash team. After graduating, he hopes to enter the US entertainment industry as a scriptwriter.
