Mac Gaither is a senior from Palo Alto, CA majoring in Environmental Studies with a concentration in Human Culture and a minor in Film & Rhetoric. He recently completed his thesis on the linkages between reproduction and hope in science fiction film and literature. On campus, Mac fosters student opportunities for digital creativity as co-president of the Bates Film Production Club and assistant in the Digital Media Studios. His love for photography, writing, and cinematography, coupled with his experiences working on set for Kingdom County Productions and NVIDIA, have inspired his pursuits for a career in the film industry post-graduation. In his free time, Mac is an avid reader, plays guitar, makes games with his friends, and works on independent film projects. He is looking forward to the festival and is excited to collaborate with filmmakers and fellow students alike!
